Pens with logos end up in a drawer. Mugs with prints sit on a kitchen shelf and basically no one looks at them. A sports shaker with a company logo lands in a gym bag, sits on a desk while working, or travels in a backpack to a competition — and with every use, it reminds the user of the brand.
This is not a coincidence, but a mechanism. This article shows how to use it: how to choose a model for a specific campaign, how the print is priced, and how to prepare a brief that saves time for both sides.
Why a shaker works differently than a typical gadget
“Daily carry” category
A shaker accompanies the user in the morning before work, at the gym, and in the break between sessions. This is a category that marketers call daily carry: items that land in a bag every day, rather than sitting on a shelf.
For comparison: a flyer is disposable, a pen reaches hands less often and requires replacement. A shaker, depending on the material and intensity of use, can last a year or more. With regular use, it generates frequent contact with the logo — on a weekly and monthly scale, this is exposure you cannot buy for a comparable budget in any other advertising format.
Then there is the social effect. A shaker carried to the gym is visible to other exercisers and people in the surroundings. Your logo travels through the locker room, the training hall, and the cafe without additional media costs.
Psychology of utility
Gadgets with a real function build positive associations with the brand that gave them. When a gym gives a new client a personalized shaker upon purchasing a membership, it sends a clear message: we care about your training, not just the fee. This works completely differently than a flyer in a welcome bag, which most people throw away when leaving the reception.
For supplement brands, fitness clubs, and competition organizers, a branded shaker strengthens communication consistency: the product and brand values are enclosed in a single item. This is an effect that is difficult to achieve with a ceramic mug or an umbrella.
There is one condition: the product must work. A shaker that leaks or loses its print after a month builds the opposite association – and it does so just as effectively.
B2B scenarios where a shaker works well
Industry trade shows. In the supplement, fitness, and corporate wellness sector, a shaker attracts attention at the booth and stays with the interlocutor long after the event. Unlike printed materials, it does not end up in the trash on the way out.
Welcome packs for employees. A welcome kit with a shaker says: this is a company that cares about an active lifestyle. The product stays on the desk, not in a drawer.
Awards and starter packs at competitions. They reach people who will actually use them every day – not a random recipient.
Club merch and supplement brands. A shaker included in a starter kit becomes a brand showcase in the kitchen and at the gym simultaneously, often photographed and shared by customers.
Which model to choose for a campaign
400 ml is a compact format: lightweight, convenient for the desk and a small bag, cheaper per unit. A natural choice for large event volumes and gift sets, where cost and convenience matter.
700 ml offers a larger side surface, which translates directly into more space for graphics and better logo exposure. The larger format is also more visible in a bag and on a table. If you care about maximum advertising space and daily utility after the event — this is a better choice.
2in1 model is a solution with a clearly higher perceived value: two interchangeable caps allow the same container to be used as a leak-proof shaker and as a meal container. For brands that want to give something more than a standard gadget, this is an argument that increases the value of the entire set without increasing the number of items in the package.
Both capacities can be combined in one order, creating a consistent branding set.
Print: surface area at no extra charge
Here is the difference that really changes the campaign budget.
For most suppliers, the price of the print depends on the print area. The larger the graphic, the higher the bill – so full coverage is a premium option that many campaigns do not have the budget for.
With us, the price depends solely on the number of colors. A 360° print covering the entire side surface costs exactly the same as a small logo on the side. Each additional color increases the price by a fixed amount, regardless of the quantity. We standardly work in the range of 1–3 colors, with each additional one upon request.
For an agency planning a campaign, this means one specific thing: maximum brand exposure does not require an extra charge. Instead of shrinking the graphic to fit the valuation, you simplify the palette and use the entire shaker.
The difference in visibility between a logo on one side and full coverage is hard to overestimate – especially at sports events and on social media, where the product ends up in the frame at a random angle.
Certification: the minimum you should require
With plastic shakers that come into contact with drinks, material documentation is not a whim, but a protection for your brand and the user.
Our shakers are produced from plastic with a PZH certificate — a hygienic certificate issued by the National Institute of Public Health, confirming the material’s approval for food contact. We provide the document with the order.
When evaluating any supplier, look for a declaration of compliance with EU regulations — Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 — or a PZH certificate as additional confirmation. Lack of documentation is a complaint and image risk, especially when the product reaches your brand’s customers.
Campaign schedule
Visualization: 24 hours. Free of charge, from the moment the graphic file is sent. You will see how the logo looks on the product before you approve the order.
Production: from 7 business days from the approval of the visualization and confirmation of the order.
Delivery: courier, 1–2 business days.
For campaigns with a tight deadline, reserve at least three weeks from the moment of commissioning the graphic design to the delivery day. Practical schedule: a week for preparing and approving the design on your side, 24 hours for visualization, production, delivery.
Do not start the process a week before the event. If you have a tight deadline, agree on it with us in advance — not two days before.
How to prepare a brief
A good brief means shorter waiting time for a quote and a lower risk of errors. Provide immediately:
- Quantity of pieces with information on whether there is flexibility for scaling
- Model and capacity: 400 ml or 700 ml, standard or 2in1
- Number of print colors and range: logo on the side or full circumference
- Graphic file in vector format (AI, EPS, PDF) or information that it requires preparation
- Deadline and place of delivery: one address or shipping to several locations
- Budget range as a starting point for the conversation
The more specifics at the start, the faster and more accurate the quote. We don’t have to ask about the basics, and you don’t waste time on a round of correspondence.
The minimum order quantity is one carton: 60 pieces for 400 ml, 56 pieces for 700 ml, subsequent ones in multiples of the carton. This is good news for smaller campaigns and local events where it is not worth ordering hundreds of pieces.
Summary
Matching the model to the recipient is the key to an effective campaign. The fitness and supplement environment is a plastic sports shaker or a 2in1 model with higher perceived value. The marking method is a budget decision – but with us, it is not about the surface area, because you don’t pay for it.
Material certificate and free visualization before ordering are the minimum that is worth requiring from every supplier. These are not whims, but a guarantee that the product will reach the recipient in a condition that will not harm either the user or your brand’s reputation.
A branded shaker is an investment with a long exposure term: every workout, every shake, every look in the sports bag is contact with the brand. In the category of promotional gadgets, it is hard to beat this in terms of frequency of use.
